Marketing Creativity: Summer Youth Workshop Closing Program

Join us THIS SATURDAY for the closing program of our youth multimedia workshop. Hear from the students themselves through one-on-one interaction and presentations. Student guided tours of the facility start at 12 noon with presentations beginning at 1 p.m.

A team of local artists and WUVI students provided entrepreneurial exposure to students using radio, video, photo, graphic design, social media and more as they got an introduction to various options of marketing their own talents through the exploration of potential products and services.
Students learned basic online research tips, job interviewing and public speaking techniques, customer service skills and more along with hands on training of various multi-media equipment, software and procedures.
Guided by current WUVI students, WUVI Station Manager DaraMonifah Cooper and local artist/educator E’Bas Arts, with special guests including Casico Doce E’Bas of his Casico Assisting Students (CAS) Foundation, youth between the ages of 13-16 learned to appreciate their own individual creativity as well as consider potential income generating options based on their talents.

Stay connected to learn more and for other details to be shared in upcoming interviews.

The program was facilitated through a mini-grant from the VI Department of Labor, through Community Action Now, Inc. with support from the VI Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
