Looking for a way to reconnect with yourself in the company of friends and music? West African Dance classes start 6:30pm Tuesdays at the University of the Virgin Islands Wellness Center with Mama Azia!!
Azia Suleiman moved to St. Thomas from California almost one year after visiting for the first time. Her family instantly fell in love with the culture, the environment and the people while on that short visit. They said they’d be back and they’re here to give back!
She’s already started by doing free demonstrations in the community and offering West African Dance classes is just one more way to help us rebuild.
So drummers, dancers and those who just love to be around the rhythm of our culture can reconnect with themselves and each other 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evenings at the University of the Virgin Islands Wellness Center.
