We Got Financially Lit @WUVI

Virgin Islanders Iffat Muhammad Walker (Savan) and Brenda Sells (Paul M. Pearson Gardens aka PMP) came together to help us get Financially Lit on Saturday, June 30th at the WUVI Communications Lab on the St. Thomas campus of the University of the Virgin Islands.

The ladies spent the day sharing facts, figures and insights through active worksheets, presentations, videos and most importantly openly real dialogue. The training was an intense 1-day boot camp designed to get participants on the right path to financial freedom through financial literacy.

Taught by award winning, entrepreneur, financial expert, Executive Director of Community Action NOW!, Inc (C.A.N.) and author of “Fix Your Damn Credit, ” Iffat M. Walker, M.A.F.M. the training is just one in a number of upcoming free collaborative outreach efforts. Iffatis home again continuing the mission to help these individuals and families to reach self-sufficiency. CAN is a social justice and poverty elimination agency that advocates on behalf of and provides services to economically disadvantaged individuals and families, particularly those of African descent in poverty stricken communities globally.
