Is it the anticipation and joy of reuniting with friends and family who fly down just for the season, like Sister Mariel and Brother Akinyemi Blake with Obayemi… or the entertaining catching up that happens once gathered?

Maybe it’s the wholesome vegan food from Sister Benita or Brother Wade at the various Karamu (feast) times the come along with our fresh local fruit drinks by We Grow Food Inc.’s president Elridge Sparks Thomas.

or could it be the vibrant cultural colors and proud patterns in the fabrics worn by both young and aged, in their garments, or accessories like Jahweh’s new clutch bags or Penya’s earrings…
